ABOUT ME
Nice to meet ya! I’m Kaden Cruz Rogers, a Los Angeles based director, producer, and editor drawn to surreal, character driven storytelling. I recently earned my BFA in Film and Television Production with an emphasis in Directing from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.
Originally I am from Maricopa, Arizona - a quaint town baked in the stark desert, which perpetually inspires my work. It was there that I became fascinated with magic tricks and illusions,
specifically their ability to transport the audience into a world of my own making. As I got older, I began to see film as a different kind of magic, one that bends reality just enough to examine what we thought we understood. Film became a way out of the desert I grew up in, and a way of making sense of the strange world beyond it. It’s in that space that my work lives: somewhere between the sincerity and wonder of a child’s magic trick and the absurdity of the “real” world.
